Mathias Wiese is innovation manager for additive manufacturing in product development for polymer applications at Audi AG. He joined Audi’s Polymer 3D Printing Center, doing his Ph.D. part-time with the Institute for the Institute of Machine Tools and Production Technology at the University of Braunschweig. Starting his career in cooperative bachelor studies in industrial service management with Evonik Industries AG and the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund, Germany, he continued his academic background at the University of Duisburg-Essen and graduated with a master’s degree in automotive engineering and management. During his master’s studies, he developed production and costing models for the disruptive digital light synthesis technology by Carbon 3D at the San Francisco-based Volkswagen Electronics Research Lab.
